INTRO
One of Intuit's top 2030 goals was enhancing its reputation by fostering awareness of its innovation, technology, and engineering community to attract top talent. As Intuit was beginning to reimagine itself as an AI-driven expert platform, the company was seeking to align with a strategy that was firmly rooted in technology. This vision was brought to life through the implementation of the incredibly versatile tech design system.
This spectrum is a great way to showcase how the tech design system flexes across different initiatives— with a formal approach to external leadership events and getting a bit more playful with internal experiences. We see a lot of the external conferences falling somewhere around the center, reflecting a more branded adaptation of tech visual language.

Days
Global Engineering Days (GED), the biannual Intuit event that brings together technologists to tackle customer challenges, presented an exciting opportunity for a fresh makeover. We seized the chance to reimagine the GED experience with a dynamic visual design system, nurturing a sense of community within a technologist group that had felt isolated during the pandemic.
Embracing a fully virtual format, we discovered the potential of utilizing broadcast to engage our audiences. Born amidst the pandemic, this design system embraces a vision that transcends the present, charting a course of unceasing growth and evolution in the years to come.
Avatar Builder
In our quest to infuse delight into the Global Engineering Days (GED) experience and encourage attendees to express their individuality, we developed the Avatar Builder. This feature allowed participants to create playful versions of themselves with a myriad of customizations. The result: over a dozen diverse styles and tones added to the Avatar Builder, making it a delightful tool embraced by every part of Intuit's tech community, spreading joy and inclusivity.
TechCon
By connecting the two rhombuses, we visualized the journey of knowledge and connection that our technologists take through the TechCon experience. We are using linear illustrations and a lighter color palette to add a playful spin to the design system.
